Privacy Policy
The short version: Ducato works entirely offline. It has no account system and no servers. Everything you enter — accounts, transactions, budgets, subscriptions — is stored only on your device. We never see it, and we never collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.
01Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Ducato mobile app for iOS and Android ("the app"), published by Lumen Tech Lab ("we", "us"). It explains what happens to your information when you use the app. By using Ducato you agree to this policy.
02Data we collect
None that leaves your device. Ducato does not collect personal data, does not require an account, and does not ask for your name, email, or any contact details to function. The name you optionally enter during setup is used only to greet you and is stored on your device.
The financial information you record — accounts, balances, transactions, categories, tags, budgets and subscriptions — is written to a private database on your device and stays there.
03No cloud, no sync, no tracking
Ducato has no backend. It does not upload your data, it does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and it does not include any third-party trackers. The app functions fully in airplane mode.
04Notifications
If you enable reminders (daily expense reminders or subscription-renewal reminders), the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated and delivered by your phone; no reminder content is sent to us or to any third party. You can turn reminders off at any time in Settings, or from your device's notification settings.
05Permissions
Ducato requests only the notifications permission, and only so it can show the reminders you choose to enable. It requests no network, contacts, location, camera, or storage permissions.
06Storage & security
Your data lives in the app's private storage area on your device. You can protect the app with a PIN; when enabled, the PIN is required to open the app and after switching away from it. The PIN is stored on your device in the platform's secure keystore (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) as a salted hash — never in plain text, and never sent anywhere.
07Deleting your data
You are always in control. You can delete individual entries at any time. To erase everything at once, open Settings → Remove all data: this permanently deletes all accounts, transactions, categories, budgets and subscriptions and resets the app. Uninstalling the app also removes all of its data from your device.
08Children
Ducato is a general-audience personal-finance tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no data, it does not knowingly gather information from anyone.
09Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Since Ducato collects nothing, we do not expect material changes.
